1. Entry Requirements
CAS
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. You cannot apply for a visa without this digital reference from your sponsor university.
TB Test
Mandatory medical certificate from IOM Kathmandu. Must be valid for 6 months at the time of visa submission.
English Proficiency
IELTS Academic (6.0-6.5 min) or PTE (58+). Some universities accept Duolingo or MOI (Medium of Instruction).
2. Application Timeline

Apply to your chosen universities. UCAS is for undergraduates; postgraduates usually apply directly to university portals.

Pre-CAS & CAS Issuance
Pay deposit and clear the Pre-CAS credibility interview. Your university then issues your CAS number via email.

IHS & Visa Fee Payment
Pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and the Student Visa fee online using a dollar card or through your bank.

VFS Biometrics & Interview
Visit VFS Global in Kathmandu for biometrics. Be prepared for a potential credibility interview from UKVI.
3. Essential Documentation
The "28-Day Rule" (Financials)
Funds must be held in a bank account (yours or your parents') for a consecutive 28-day period. The bank statement must be dated no more than 31 days before the visa application date.
